At Vital Life Training, we’re driven by a mission to up-skill individuals, empowering them with the tools they need to elevate their lives. We’re rooted in the belief that quality training can be a catalyst for positive change, opening doors to better opportunities for individuals and their families.
Vital Life Training was founded in 2001 by a NICU professional registered nurse. Drawing inspiration from hospital standards and best practices, the training was designed to be both comprehensive and practical. In 2005 the baton was handed to Gail Starr who expanded the programs. Under her ownership the curriculum grew to encompass Water Safety and Drown Prevention, Home-Based Care, Spring Cleaning, Cooking, and fully accredited Level 1 and 2 First Aid Courses.
Central to our team is our Domestic Courses trainer, Mavis Gwala. With a keen eye for detail, Mavis ensures that every candidate grasps the course material, tailoring the training to be accessible in both isiZulu and English. All participants also benefit from valuable take-home materials.
Complementing our team is Hlengiwe Zuma, who specializes in Accredited First Aid training. Hlengiwe is also a qualified Enrolled Nurse. Her enthusiasm and dedication shine through in every session, ensuring candidates receive top-notch training.
Now, under the leadership of Paula Foster, a skilled physiotherapist and mom to Ruby and Ella, we’re excited to infuse our programs with fresh insights, ensuring they resonate with the evolving needs of caregivers and families today.
